This is a photo from my latest project of fixing old photos shot with older and less good cameras. I have written a post about how to recover old photos, and you find it here: goo.gl/hsFJY. This one is shot in a more than 1500 year old cistern (great underground water container), that was lost for 500 years. It was rediscovered, because some people took water "out of the ground". Istanbul is a fantastic place, much like Rome, except for the buildings are still standing.
There were many problems with this photo. It wasn’t sharp, it was fairly noisy and I shot in JPEG, making it harder to recover.
